🏟 Update on The Fast Break

Hello Friends,

I’m writing with an update on The Fast Break newsletter.

Writing this newsletter over the past six months has been a pleasure as we built up a great community. I’ve enjoyed researching the businesses, learning about the industries, and sharing those findings with you all.

It’s also been great to get to know those of you I’ve had the privilege of corresponding with through this newsletter.

I started this journey during the pandemic with the hopes of turning it into something big while building strong relationships with community members along the way. I believe we are on our way to both.

That said, my professional commitments have increased significantly as the world re-opened post-pandemic which has made doing the work required for this newsletter difficult each week. While rewarding and enjoyable, it has been difficult to balance many plates.

At the same time, I want to be intentional with my time to build this newsletter properly.

So, I’ve decided to put a pause on publishing newsletters for the moment.

I would love it if you all stay subscribed as I work to build the newsletter’s distribution channels. However, I understand if you must go :)

What will I be doing?

Firstly, I will be posting and storytelling frequently on Twitter to help build up readership for this newsletter. Once I’m comfortable with the growth, I will begin publishing on here again. But for right now, I believe my attention and time should be focused there.

I’ve learned in doing this newsletter that distribution is as important as the quality of the content. So, I am taking time to intentionally focus on building distribution so that I can make this newsletter as good as it can be in the future.

I’ll also be spending a lot of my time outside of my lawyer day-job building a production company I co-founded named the Little Park. We are currently working on multiple projects that we are excited to put together over the next few years.
